Noting that the Keystone Pipeline decision is coming down to the wire, Thomas Jefferson Institute President Michael Thompson has written the Institute’s supporters urging their action in support of the Keystone Pipeline. "Either the US gets this needed oil or it will be shipped to China," Thompson noted. "Your action today can help convince Secretary John Kerry and President Barack Obama to approve this necessary project and get the jobs and energy we need as soon as possible.
"Building Keystone is an economic growth issues supported by a broad array of Americans — Democrats, Republicans, Independents, union members and business leaders," Thompson concluded. The oil in Canada is either going to the United States or China. For the sake of our own energy security, let’s make certain it comes here."
